Numerous complaints have emerged in the Google Business Profiles forums about disappearing reviews. Many users report that their review counts have suddenly dropped from a higher number to a lower one.
Over the past day, multiple forum discussions have surfaced regarding this issue.
A Google Product Expert, stated in a thread, “Google has been actively removing reviews globally, likely due to non-compliance with their guidelines. Over the past week, I’ve noticed an increasing number of reports regarding this issue. However, there are no official updates from Google at this time.”
